Resumen
Desde los inicios de la cirugía robótica a finales del siglo XX hasta el momento actual, hemos asistido a una progresiva implementación del dispositivo que ha dado lugar a su uso en diversas patologías y al acúmulo de una importante experiencia con numerosos trabajos científicos publicados.
Una de las ventajas del abordaje robótico es en la cirugía de exéresis total del mesorrecto, por la calidad de imagen que proporciona, por la ergonomía y variedad del instrumental y por los resultados postoperatorios y de seguimiento oncológico que se van difundiendo. En su desventaja, su elevado precio que limita su mayor difusión.
Abstract
Since the beginning of robotic surgery at the end of the 20th century up to the present time, we have witnessed a progressive implementation of the device that has led to its use in various pathologies and the accumulation of important experience with numerous published scientific works.
One of the advantages of the robotic approach is in the total exeresis surgery of the mesorectum, for the image quality it provides, for the ergonomics and variety of the instruments and for the postoperative results and oncological follow-up that are spreading. In its debit, its high price that limits its greater diffusion.
