Infección por COVID 19 y absceso hepático. ¿Casualidad o relación?

Resumen

En el presente manuscrito, se ha recogido un caso de absceso hepático posiblemente causado por una colecistitis evolucionada, en la que está implicado un germen anaerobio, fusobacterium mortiferum, no descrito en la literatura como agente causal de este tipo de infecciones. Al tener una infección por la presencia de una bacteria infrecuente en un paciente con diagnóstico de COVID 19, podemos postular la posibilidad de que el estado inmunológico del paciente al presentar la enfermedad haya podido inducir la infección o simplemente ser 2 hechos independientes que ocurren en un mismo momento

Abstract

In the present manuscript, a case of liver abscess possibly caused by an evolved cholecystitis has been collected in which an anaerobic germ, fusobacterium mortiferum, is involved, not described in the literature as a causal agent of this type of infections, therefore, having an infection due to the presence of an infrequent bacterium in a patient with a diagnosis of COVID 19, we can postulate the possibility that the immune status of the patient when presenting the disease could have induced the infection or simply be 2 independent events that occur at the same moment.
