Vivimos la pandemia por la enfermedad de coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) causada por el virus SARS-Cov-2. Hecho fundamental que ha paralizado numerosas actividades de nuestra rutina quirúrgica diaria y reestructurado nuestros centros hospitalarios. El objetivo de este artículo es resumir, en términos generales, las recomendaciones actuales del manejo de patología urgente quirúrgica en los servicios de Urgencias y Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, en el contexto de esta pandemia.
We are living through the 2019 coronavirus disease pandemic (COVID-19) caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus. A fundamental fact that has paralyzed numerous activities in our daily surgical routine and restructured our hospital centers. The objective of this article is to summarize, in general terms, the current recommendations for the management of urgent surgical pathology in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, in the context of this pandemic.
